JUPITER 3 Manufacturing and Release:
The JUPITER 3 satellite for Hughes was built in Palo Alto, California, and launched from Florida’s Kennedy Space Centre on a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket. Shortly after launch, the EchoStar XXIV satellite constructed its solar arrays and started receiving and transmitting signals. Once fully installed, the 14 solar panels on board may span a 10-story skyscraper.

JUPITER 3 is a high-density, high-capacity, high-throughput satellite that will join the Hughes JUPITER fleet, which already comprises four Maxar-built spacecraft. The new satellite has a customized architecture based on various technological innovations. It includes industry-first Q- and V-band gateway feeder linkages, electronics miniaturization, solid-state amplifiers, and highly efficient spot-beam antenna designs.
