Globetrotter: Your Passport for Travel Memories

Globetrotter: Your Passport for Travel Memories

Globetrotter, an app designed for frequent travelers who wish to track their journeys and reminisce about their favorite spots and travel memories, is now available. This location-based travel photos app allows you to look back on past travels and share memories and stats on social apps like Instagram. Additionally, it features a ‘2023 Wrapped’ section, akin to Spotify Wrapped, highlighting your year in travel.

Subscription options start at $2.99 per week or $29.99 per year with a free trial, plus a $79.99 lifetime purchase for frequent travelers. However, the app is free to download for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. Moreover, the app offers extras like widgets, Siri Shortcuts, AR photo viewing, and more.

Globetrotter offers travel highlights worldwide and within the U.S., displaying stats like the percentage of the world traveled and countries visited. It features a scratch map to mark visited countries and a shareable metrics card for Instagram Stories. The app resurfaces old travel photos, including one from a year ago or a random memory if unavailable, shareable on Instagram Stories. Users can browse pinned photos on a map, collect flags and landmarks, and even track their travel routes. Additionally, there’s a social aspect: a travel leaderboard where friends can compete based on travel statistics. Furthermore, Globetrotter assures user privacy by keeping all data on the device and avoiding third-party APIs.
