Agility Robotics Will Make 10,000 Humanoid Robots Annually
Agility Robotics is establishing a state-of-the-art factory to mass produce its advanced bipedal robot, Digit. Construction of the 70,000 sq ft robot factory in Salem, Oregon, began last year and will finish this year. With plans to manufacture over 10,000 units annually, the company is set to make history.
CEO Damion Shelton views this development as vital in tackling workforce challenges.
Shelton stated, “We built Digit to solve difficult problems in today’s workforce like injuries, burnout, high turnover, and unfillable labor gaps, with the ultimate vision of enabling humans to be more human. When you’re building new technology to make society better, the most important milestone is when you’re able to mass produce that technology at a scale where it can have a real, widespread impact.”
The factory will feature Digit actively participating in its production, highlighting the synergy of automation and robotics in modern manufacturing.
Agility Robotics has released a video showcasing the factory and Digit in action to provide a sneak peek into this groundbreaking development. It’s an exciting glimpse into the future of robotics and automation.
