Apple set to launch update for radiation concerns!
Apple has announced that it will release a software update for the iPhone 12 that addresses concerns about radiation emissions. The update will introduce a new feature that will allow users to view information about the specific levels of radiation emitted by their device.
The release of the iPhone 12 sparked concerns among some users about the potential health risks associated with the device’s radiation emissions. While Apple has maintained that the iPhone 12 complies with all regulatory standards and poses no health risks, some users have remained skeptical.
Software Update
The new software update aims to address these concerns. The update provides users with more transparency and control over their device’s radiation emissions. The update will introduce a new section in the iPhone’s settings menu that displays information about the specific levels of radiation emitted by the device.
Users will be able to view their device’s specific absorption rate (SAR), which measures the amount of radiation absorbed by the body when using the device. The SAR values for the iPhone 12 will be displayed in both the head and body positions, allowing users to see how much radiation is emitted when holding the device to their ear or body.
In addition to providing users with more information about their device’s radiation emissions, the update includes a new feature that allows users to reduce their radiation exposure. The European Union mandates that radiation exposure should not exceed 2 watts per kilogram (W/kg) for every 10 grams of tissue in the human body.
However, while the iPhone 12 complies with this threshold, the ANFR monitors a different absorption rate for extremities. The French agency evaluates how holding a phone in one’s hand or keeping it in a pants pocket on one’s leg affects the user.
