SafeRide Health’s Series C Boosts Vital Care Access

SafeRide Health, the top tech platform linking patients from major healthcare programs to vital medical transport, secured Series C funding. This funding will support the expansion of their non-emergency medical transportation services. Sands Capital led the round with participation from healthcare leaders such as Healthworx and SCAN Group. Other early investors include Transform Capital, Seminal Capital (SEMCAP), Hill City Capital, Fry’s Path Capital, Primetime Partners, Fresenius Medical Ventures, Bonfire Ventures, and Meridian Street Capital.

SafeRide Health’s Series C funding shows significant backing for its vision and technology for revolutionizing the $10+ billion non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) market. Their investment enhances their national network and introduces AI and self-service tools. Consequently, this initiative enhances the experience for 120 million Medicare Advantage and Medicaid members.

Robbins Schrader, CEO and Co-founder of SafeRide Health, said in a statement:

“We are the last mile of healthcare. We believe every patient, everywhere, should have access to critical and life-sustaining care. We serve urban and rural markets from coast to coast and span solutions from gas cards through rideshare, NEMT, and even stretcher vehicles with the sole goal of meeting a member on their terms and going on the care journey with them. In partnership with the nation’s leading healthcare organizations, we can ensure members can get to the right care, at the right time.”

SafeRide’s story began in 2016 after its co-founders lost a close friend who tragically died because he lacked safe transportation access. Unfortunately, this story is all too common. Therefore, SafeRide was born so anyone could access better healthcare through better transportation.

SafeRide’s brand identity is grounded by three pillars that make it a leader in the marketplace:

  • Expand member access for the nation’s most vulnerable individuals.
  • Make efficiency an innovation driver. Delivering a streamlined, patient-centric experience for members by lowering costs and grievance rates for health plans.
  • Power greater visibility and clarity, and instill a culture of trust amongst all our stakeholders.
