A better picture-in-picture experience for Google Meet in Chrome
Google Meet is updating the picture-in-picture experience to make it more exciting and functional. Users can now put their hands up, use On/Off switches for captions, resize the picture-in-picture view more efficiently, and use adaptable layouts when sharing screens or moving to the appropriate screen. This allows for greater flexibility and dynamic experience.
The enhanced Picture-in-picture feature allows users to resize and position the Picture-in-picture window to suit their needs, making it more customizable and adaptable to operating situation setups. This flexibility enables users to make adjustments, whether they need to focus on other tasks while maintaining a focus on the meeting or prefer to place the video feed in a particular area of their screen.
The improved PiP feature adds new controls for controlling the video feed, allowing users to mute or unmute their microphone, turn on or off the camera, and end the call.
Picture-in-picture with Google Meet is available to all subscribers with personal Google Accounts and Google Workspace customers beginning June 7, 2023. It lacks administrative control and is open to all subscribers with personal Google Accounts and Google Workspace customers. Google Meet on Chrome has improved picture-in-picture to improve multitasking control and productivity while providing more control over video conferences.
