Amazon is having another Prime Day sale in October
You won’t have to wait until next year for a second chance at Amazon deals. Amazon claims that it will stage a Prime Day-style shopping event in autumn. In 2022, the online retailer held two Prime sales events in July and October, and this year will be no different. Amazon dubs its autumn sales event “Prime Big Deal Days,” although no specific date has been set.
“We’ll share more details soon as we get closer to the event,” wrote Doug Herrington, CEO of Worldwide Amazon Store, in a post on LinkedIn. “I can’t wait to give our Prime members access to exclusive early savings this season.”
Last year, on October 11th and 12th, Amazon staged a Prime Early Access Sale to kick off the Christmas shopping season. This year, Amazon looks to be following a similar strategy. To participate in this event, you must be an Amazon Prime member. You may join Prime before Prime Big Deal Days begin. Amazon Prime costs $14.99 per month or $139 per year if paid annually. If you are a student, you can pay $7.49 per month or $69 per year if you pay annually. You must go to the official Amazon Prime Student page to register your credentials for discounted pricing.
Prime had almost 200 million customers as of 2021. Prime Big Deal Days will be accessible to Prime members in the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
By hosting an additional sales event during autumn, Amazon can focus on individuals shopping for the upcoming holidays. This sales event allows the company to engage new paying customers and further strengthen its bond with existing ones. Watch for information on the Big Deal Days in October.
