Tigo Energy unveils the Green Glove program C&I solar installers

Tigo Energy, a trailblazing leader in the solar technology sector, announced its Green Glove program, an industry-defining service program tailored exclusively for commercial and industrial solar installers. The unveiling of this innovative service program underscores Tigo Energy’s unwavering commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions that empower the solar industry. Solar installers, particularly those operating in commercial and industrial settings, face unique challenges that demand specialized support. Tigo Energy’s forward-thinking approach aims to address these challenges head-on, providing installers with the tools and resources they need to excel.

The Green Glove program improves the installer experience. It promotes quality throughout the solar value chain by implementing a formalized support engagement process for Tigo C&I installers before, during, and after installation. After completing the online registration, Green Glove support personnel collaborate with the installer to define the scope of engagement, which may encompass tasks such as service scheduling, meeting technical training prerequisites, and potential site visit needs. Tigo customers can anticipate a complimentary design review conducted before installation, access to on-call support from regional Tigo facilities throughout the installation process, and a post-installation evaluation and follow-up discussion to address any remaining inquiries and collect feedback regarding the installation experience.

“While no two commercial solar systems are alike, some best practices for design and installation are nearly universal, and the Green Glove program extends our engineering and field experience to our installer customers,” said James JD Dillon, CMO at Tigo Energy. “The philosophy behind this program is to strengthen the connective tissue within the solar value chain, bridging the strength Tigo has in designing solar hardware with the strength our installer partners have in deploying solar. While we are separate companies, our end customers should feel confident that the various entities that bring it all together collaborate and serve them by working together.”

The Green Glove program is open to commercial and industrial solar systems utilizing Tigo Energy components commissioned before March 2024. Solar systems employing non-Tigo MLPE devices may also qualify for a fee-based service within the Green Glove program. By expanding the Tigo Green Glove program, the company remains dedicated to delivering high-quality solar solutions and enhancing the support available to solar installers, all while ensuring rapid shutdown safety.
